Universities as cosmopolitan workplaces

Two presentations by followed by facilitated discussion on how universities can support cosmopolitan practices.

Marisciel Palima, the Danish Academics Foreigners Network (DAFNE) with the Danish Association of Masters and PhDs (DM)
Stacey Cozart, Centre for Teaching Development and Digital Media, AU

Both contributions aim to contribute to our understanding of the university as a cosmopolitan workplace and to open discussion about concrete ways to support inclusive, cosmopolitan practices at our own universities. Representing DM’s recently formed network for international academics, Marisciel will offer perspectives on members’ experiences of the inclusivity of Danish workplaces, with emphasis on higher education institutions. Stacey will share some local AU results of an ongoing cross-contextual research project intended to address the gap in our knowledge about international faculty experiences of and perspectives on their teaching and learning environments.
