Come and hear about the BATL SIG and how it can be relevant for you and your courses and departments. Bias, both conscious and unconscious, can lead to discrimination and reduction in novelty, both of which contravene the principles of higher education. BATL’s focus is on how to address bias at universities, particularly in teaching, learning and assessment but also more widely in recruitment and promotion. At DUNK we shall share BATL members’ current ideas on ways to keep the SIG active and purposeful, and we shall welcome further ideas from you all. Looking forward to meeting you.
