Vi ved, at studerendes læring er direkte relateret til underviserens pædagogiske tænkning og måde at undervise på, men ca. halvdelen af danske universiteters undervisere vurderer, at undervisning prioriteres lavere eller meget lavere end forskning på deres universitet, og et markant flertal vurderer, at kvaliteten af deres undervisning betyder meget lidt for deres løn og karrieremuligheder. Dette års tema går imod tendensen i en tid, hvor det ser ud som om, at underviseren er rykket ud af fokus med studentercentreret læring, studieintensitet og fokus på adaptive læringsoplevelser for den enkelte studerende.
