We are pleased to invite you to an online SIG Meeting 
We will spend an afternoon discussing how research and teaching are integrated in the context of laboratory and fieldwork, through examples from research and practice. See the programme below.

Program: 

 13:00-13:15        Welcome and brief introduction  

 13:15-13:50                              Conceptualising research-based teaching in higher education drawing on a recent project on integrating research and teaching in higher education, Dr Marie Ryberg will introduce us to a conceptual framework for research-based  teaching, followed by discussions.
 14:00-14:40

 Intermission

 14:40-14:50  Research-based teaching in lab work From the laboratory context, Professor Kirsten Christoffersen will be sharing  insights from practice, where a course in Arctic biology provides students with authentic research experiences,  including fieldwork in Greenland. Participants will be discussing various aspects of research-based teaching in this  context.
 14:50-15:00  Intermission

 15:00-15:30  Research-based teaching in lab work From the laboratory context, Dr Henrik Pedersen will be sharing experiences of developing researchbased teaching in a physics laboratory, followed by discussions and contextualisation across science disciplines. 

 15:30  Wrapping up and goodbyes
