University teaching is a complex task. When we first start to teach, nothing is automatic. Everything has to be carefully thought through. This MOOC introduces new teachers to key learning and teaching concepts and strategies in easily studied, two hour modules - just in time, just for you. Modules cover topics like strategies to teach that first class, giving feedback, facilitating group work, and online teaching. Happy teaching.

Objectives
If you study the modules in this course, you can expect to:

  • explore university teaching and learning concepts
  • determine strategies to support student-centred teaching
  • identify teaching and learning resources to support your practice

Target Audience
This course is for colleagues who are in the first few years of university teaching. They may be academics, faculty, research students, librarians, IT staff or a host of other roles which have a university teaching component.
