Description:
Since November 30, 2022 academics have been in catch up mode to understand and integrate what Generative AI means for education. While many have focused on assessment security (such as whether to allow AI into their classroom or for use to complete assessments) the bigger issue is how to integrate AI into your teaching, research and assessments. In doing so, we need to be certain that our students still learn what we are ‘credentialising’ them to do. Lynn will explore some use cases and her recent research on ‘mapping the work’ to create learning and assessments that engage students in ethical use of GenAI. Further Lynn invites us to use AI to ‘lighten the load’ in our own work day freeing us up to do the real work and always keeping the ‘Human in the Loop’ (HitL).
