The overall theme of the EFYE2020 conference is “One for all – all for one” highlighting that both first year students, older students, academic teachers and administrative staff all have an important part to play in integrating the newly arrived students in the best possible way.
The conference addresses three subthemes:
- Being and becoming a first year student
- Teaching first year students
- Supporting the transition

Through keynotes, paper sessions, workshops, show-and-tell and poster sessions participants will get rich opportunity to share and expand their knowledge and experiences on giving first year students the best possible start of their time at university. We hope to create an inspiring and worthwhile conference where participants can expand their network of peers and associates across Europe.
