DUN Conference 2017

Time: May 30 - 31, 2017

Venue: Link Arrow Vingsted hotel og konferencecenter

In Danish below

Students – co-creators, co-teachers, co-researchers

International research shows that students’ influence on their teaching is of crucial importance for their engagement, work effort and learning. With this knowledge in mind, several educations in Denmark and internationally are increasing their focus on content of learning, where students in different ways are involved as co-creators of the teaching and their educational process as a whole; among other things, with the use of co-creation strategies such as Peer Feedback, Peer Assessment, Learner Led Teaching and Students as Partners. To involve students to a greater extent in the teaching means an increased focus on learning as co-created between teachers and students in research and in practice. To understand students as co-creators, co-teachers and co-researchers means that the students can be seen as symbolic capital for the universities and for society; as talents, as a knowledge reserve and as a resource, which can contribute with ideas to co-create the future’s teaching with advantage for those involved.

The conference’s keynote speakers argue that the future’s teaching to a greater extent will be co-created in collaboration between teachers and students. The keynote speakers and the sessions of the conference addresses the idea that co-creation makes teaching more engaging, effective and rigorous and that Faculty can draw on student insights not only through collecting student responses but also through collaborating with students to study and design teaching and learning together.

The universities must in between learn from each other, when we have to cultivate and implement new co-creating forms of teaching- and learning. At DUN Conference 2017, you can contribute by showing other interested in university pedagogy how you collaborate with students by submitting an abstract for a session presentation at the conference. You can also participate in the debate at the conference by signing up for DUNs conference May 30-31, 2017.

Looking forward to seeing you!

Students – co-creators, co-teachers, co-researchers
