“Within higher education, students’ voices are frequently overlooked in the design of teaching approaches, courses and curricula.”

Student engagement in curriculum development

“Within higher education, students’ voices are frequently overlooked in the design of teaching approaches, courses and curricula.” (Bovill et al. 2011, s. 1)

Should we involve the students in curriculum development, and how do we involve them and do they bother to take part in the development at all? In this workshop the participants will get a case presentation by Link Arrow Professor Harm Peters from Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin about their work with curriculum development and how they have they have involved students in the development and quality assurance of their medical education.
At the workshop, it will be possible to share knowledge, exchange experiences and reflections on how to engage and involve students in curriculum development and in the quality assurance of education.
