This webinar presents and invites discussions of a vocabulary for approaching teaching and learning with GenAI as related to comprehensions of technology and positionings of students and digital literacy. Grounded in subject- and world-centered understandings of learning, integrative perspectives on technology and a postcritical approach to students' digital literacy, we will engage in shared explorations of approaches to students' and teachers as reflective practitioners with regards to GenAI.
The vocabulary and approach is developed by Mikala as part of the research and development project HUM og TEO studerendes brug og oplevelser af generativ AI i deres studie (translated: Humanities and Theology students use of and experiences with GenAI as part of their study practices). The project included a survey with 353 university students and 12 follow-up qualitative interviews with BA and MA students. The results of the questionnaire survey (Pedersen, Hansbøl, Fajkovic, 2025) underlined the paradox: GenAI chatbots are being integrated into students' study practices, while teaching and guidance with a focus on GenAI are largely absent.
The webinar includes time for Q&A and discussion.
