The lecture explores the many, sometimes conflicting, demands facing universities, and how these can be understood as productive and creative conditions for the development of new knowledge.
The programme includes a welcome by Head of School Claus Holm, the inaugural lecture itself and a subsequent discussion with the audience. Emeritus Professor Ronald Barnett will participate as discussant.
